According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States and 12% of those diagnosed cases are breast cancer. I have personally witnessed the battle against breast cancer within my family and it was not easy. I know I am not the only person who has been affected by this vicious disease and wants to reach out a helping hand to increase the survival rate for the future. This is one of my favorite quotes from Matthew; it speaks volumes to our world where we are taught to compete instead of compliment. In our world we are often taught that first place allows you to have everything and winning is most important. However, when it comes to the kingdom of God such ways of operating are not true. In his eyes, it doesn’t matter who came to him first, second or third, all who seek him will be treated the same. Regardless of your past or who you are now, he accepts you with open arms. He gives you the same love, care, patience and time as those who have walked with him their whole life.
